Fabia Ogunmekan is a Lawyer by profession and Development Consultant with 22 years’ post call experience working in the fields of law and development across Corporate Organizations and Non-profits in the healthcare, gender and entrepreneurship space. She has worked for organisations including, The Law Union, Pronatura International, Hygeia Group, the Tony Elumelu Foundation and more recently Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR). Her Consulting experience includes work with International Development Organisations including UN Women, SEEFAR, the Albright Stonebridge Group and most recently WRTHY.
In her various executive roles, she has held multiple responsibilities for strategy execution, administration, governance, programmes development, communications, partnerships, fundraising and stakeholder management. She is a Founding Trustee of IMARA Foundation, and also sits on the Boards of Montgomery Security Vaults Ltd, The Foundation for Cancer Care and BOAT Foundation. She is also a member of the WISCAR Advisory Board.
Since 2017, she has been a resource person and facilitator on the Lagos Business School’s Sustainability Centre’s Nonprofit Leadership and Management Programme. She is a 2018 Rise Up Leader, a 2021 Women Leaders for the World Fellow and part of the 2022 Vital Voices Leadership Journey pioneer cohort.
Fabia is an Alumnus of the University College London, Bayes Business School (City University London) and the Nigerian Law School. She has also undertaken various executive and continuous learning courses from the Lagos Business School, Stanford University and Blavatnik School of Public Policy, University of Oxford. An Independent Consultant, in 2023, she founded ADABA Projects where she currently leads on designing, curating and executing high-impact social development initiatives and projects. She currently serves as Lead Consultant at the Albright Stonebridge Group on the Domestication of the National Women’s Economic Empowerment Policy in Lagos State. She also activates NGO partnerships at WRTHY an award winning social Impact driven agency. She is passionate about the pursuit of development in Africa and the role of women in enabling that happen.
