Monsuroh Abdulsemiu is a journalist with TheCable and Program Officer at the Cable Newspaper Journalism Foundation (CNJF), where she coordinates projects, partnerships, and innovation efforts that advance public-interest journalism in Nigeria. Her work is rooted in development reporting, government accountability, public service delivery, and human-interest storytelling.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Lagos State University. Her professional experience includes tracking public project implementation as a U-Monitor with Udeme (CJID) in 2023; documenting the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia as part of Nigeria’s National Media Team; and contributing to the country’s first student-led fact-checking organisation, People’s Check Nigeria, as a pioneer fact researcher in 2020.
A recipient of the 2022 Campus Journalism Award from the Youths Digest Initiative, Monsuroh is committed to journalism that informs, empowers, and strengthens civic life while driving meaningful social impact.
